Heartlight Aerobics - Spring 2017-18

Heartlight Aerobics is an aerobic program designed especially for children. The program provides a healthy environment where children work out to the latest music including songs by Demi Lovato, Taylor Swift, and One Direction.

Classes will happen if enough participants sign up. If interested please register within this online system. Once determined class is a go you will receive an email to log back in and complete registration and pay.

Cost: $50.00

Freedom Firebirds 2017-18

JDCRO Orchestra Practice 2017-18

JoeyDCares Rock Orchestra, a non-profit community music group of students and adult volunteers, performs Rock, Pop, Motown, Jazz & Classical to support charitable events throughout the year. Students improve their music skills while earning service hours serving their community through music, building leadership skills, and having fun jamming with other musicians.

Who: Student musicians in grades 6-12. Also, members of the community of any age who want to join by helping or playing an instrument are welcome!

Cost: $99 per 4 month session- See Sessions below - you must register for each session separately.

Girls in Engineering (ages 8-12)

This camp will include engineering challenges like egg drop and bridge building, guest speakers, a field trip and, of course, Lego robots and SuGo. GIRLS ONLY! June 18-22, 1 – 4 pm

Intro to Robotics with LEGOS (ages 8-12)

Our most popular session, now updated. This session was formerly called “LEGO Fun”, and will still include an introduction to Lego EV3 programming for Mindstorms and SuGo games, a friendly and fun competition. Some additional robotics activities and engineering challenges are also part of the fun. On the final day, teams showcase their robots and skills. No experience is needed, but those familiar with the EV3 or returning students can pursue advanced topics. Students interested in fall LEGO robotics competitions will learn about the program, and receive invitations to team formation meetings.

PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU REGISTER YOUR CHILD FOR THE GRADE THEY WILL BE IN FOR THE 2018-2019 SCHOOL YEAR!! If your child is trying out for an FSC Travel Team – Do Not register (no late registration fee will be accessed if they do not make the travel team and register late)

Fees are: $95.00/player

$10.00 sibling discount for each additional child in the family registered in our program.

Early Bird Discount –$5.00 off - must be paid by Credit Card – any registrations not paid by April 30 will have $5.00 fee added to registration cost. Registrations from May 1 – May 31 will be as above – Registrations after June 1st will include a $15.00 late fee, registrations after July 1st will include a $25.00 (unless you have tried out for an FSC travel team or high school team and did not make the team). Registration is not considered complete and your child will not be placed on a team until payment is received.

If you are volunteering in our program you must register as a volunteer - Make sure you register - after you register your child. PIE3 Robotics Teams 2017/18 - FRC

Welcome to the PIE3 Robotics Team Registration Site.

You must have a participation code to signup, indicating that you have been accepted onto a team. To obtain a participation code email signup.pie3@gmail.com

FIRST Robotics Competition is open to students who are 14-18 years old by January, and junior members who are 13 in January. PIE3 currently sponsors the Robo-Lions, FRC Team 2199. The team meets in the Sykesville area at least weekly. The team builds a competitive robot each winter, running summer sessions in robotics and engineering in the summer, training, competing and sharing their STEM experiences throughout the community all year.
Team members learn about and participate in the team in many ways, and may join through the year. Volunteer mentors are also welcome in any of the following areas:
-Electronics and electrical engineering
-Mechanical systems and system integration
-Public relations, including marketing, graphic design and social media
-Business planning and fundraising
-Computer Aided Design (CAD)
-Programming in Java
-Shop safety, quality engineering and product reliability

There is an initiation fee of $50 for students. This includes an invitation to visit with the current team or attend a workshop to learn about the program. Full membership will require additional fundraising and/or contributions to cover team registrations, materials, and travel.

Freedom Soccer Referees 2018

Welcome to Freedom Rec Soccer Referee Soccer Registration

For Youth Referees you must play soccer for Freedom Optimist Soccer, FSC, or Liberty, Century or South Carroll High School.

Adult Referees must have previously refereed for FO Soccer Program.

If you are a first or second year referee you must attend 2 clinics:

Session #1 Sunday August 12th from 2 – 4:00 PM or 4:15 – 6:15 PM at the Optimist Community Center Upstairs.

Session #2 Sunday August 26th from 2 – 4:00 PM or 4:15 – 6:15 PM at the Optimist Community Center Upstairs.
You must attend both sessions.

If you are a third or more year referee then you must attend 1 clinic on Sunday August 19th from 2 – 4:00 PM or 4:15 – 6:15 PM at the Optimist Community Center Upstairs. You must attend a session to referee.

If you are a 3rd year or more and wish to referee at Eldersburg and not Freedom Park then you need to attend the 1st & 2nd year referee clinics.

If for some reason you cannot attend the required sessions you must contact Sue Chaney at fosreferees@gmail.com. If you do not attend required sessions and do not have a waiver from the referee coordinator you will not be allowed to referee.

There is no fee to register. Registration will be open till August 11th for 1st & 2nd year referees and August 18th for 3rd year and beyond referees.

If you are a third year and beyond who would be interested in helping with training or be a lead referee at Eldersburg or Freedom Park please let me know.

The Freedom Field Hockey program is about providing girls, 5-14 years of age, an environment where they will gain knowledge, understanding and skills necessary to play girls field hockey.
The sport of field hockey promotes teamwork, encouragement, and overall enjoyment; season runs from Aug. to early Nov.

Grades K-2: $60.00
Practice one evening each week. Games played either Sat. or Sun.
3rd-4th Grade: $110.00
Practice two evenings each week, games on Sun.*

Hall Rental - Freedom Optimist Building 2018

In order to rent the the Freedom Hall please email optimisthall@gmail.com and you will receive a participation code so that you can register and pay.

Fees are:
Upstairs (Capacity - 60): $50.00/hour plus $175.00

Downstairs (Capacity - 225):
$500.00 - 4 hours
$550.00 - 5 hours
$600.00 - 6 hours
$650.00 - 7 hours
$700.00 - 8 hours

With this registration I agree that I will abide by all rules, regulations and terms set forth below for the Rental of the Freedom Optimist Hall (upstairs & downstairs) for the date and times listed on my registration.
IMPORTANT: You must email (optimisthall@gmail.com) a copy of a Certificate of Insurance for General Liability in the amount of $500,000 naming the Optimist Club of Freedom District as “additionally insured” which can be secured from either a business or homeowner’s insurance provider once registration is complete. If this form is not received within 20 days of registration – this registration will be cancelled.

CANCELLATION: ½ of rental fee is Non-Refundable
BUILDING SECURITY: Upon completion of event and inspection credit card payers will be issued $100.00 refund back to your credit card from your rental fee within 30 days after your event date

FSC Travel Soccer 2018/2019

FSC Travel Soccer Club (U8 - U19) — 2018/2019 Season
• Tryouts are held in May/June. For tryout information and to register for tryouts please visit: www.freedomsoccerclub.org
• You must have tried out for FSC and have been selected to play on a FSC team to register here.
• If selected for a FSC team, Players must register and pay within 3 days from time offer is made to join a team.
• Players must have a participation code to register. To obtain a code please contact your coach.
• Player registration fee is $165 (non-refundable). Credit card or checks accepted. ($25 charge for returned checks).
• Coaches, assistant coaches, team managers, treasurers, and board members MUST also reg-ister here as a volunteer and must have a participation code to register.

When: Tuesdays and Wednesdays, September 2017 - May 2018
Who:
Kindergarten through 6th grade
(Instrumentalists, strings, woodwinds, brass, percussion)
Time: 4-5:30pm
Cost: $48 per 4 class session. Class must have at least 10 students to occur.
Location: Piney Ridge Elementary School Band Room

4th-6th Grade instrumentalists advance their skills by playing rock, pop and jazz music! As an extension of the awesome kids program’s beginning band and orchestra, this class features a combined band and orchestra playing a variety of songs ending with a live recital performance.

The Awesome Kids Band includes all 4th, 5th and 6th grade instrumentalists of any instrument (strings, woodwinds, brass and percussion). While performing fun and popular tunes, students learn new fingerings, notes and theory about music and their instrument. Play songs from the Beatles, Van Halen, Michael Jackson and more, on your band or orchestra instrument!

HOW TO REGISTER

Step 1) Click LOGIN/REGISTER and create an account - please include cell phone number - if you have                   already created an account for another FARC program using this site use the same account.

Step 2) Add your children (when adding grade use current grade in school) and/or spouse to the account

Step 3) Register your participants - scroll to find the program you want to register for
