FLL Robotics (Grades 4-8, sponsored by PIE3) 2019/20

You must have a Participation Code to Register

FIRST LEGO League is open to students who are 8-14 years old by January 1, 2020. Teams are formed in the community as coaches (2 or more per team) volunteer and determine meeting times and location BEFORE signing up members. Teams are limited to ten students, who research a real-world challenge, then innovate and develop their own solution through designing, building, and coding LEGO® MINDSTORMS® robots to perform autonomous “missions” on a playing field.

If you do not yet have a team assignment, email signup.pie3@gmail.com to inquire about possible team openings or about coaching a new team. Coach training is available; no experience is required.

SIGNUP FOR A TEAM ONLY IF YOU ARE COACHING OR HAVE BEEN INSTRUCTED BY YOUR COACH. Assignment to a team is NOT guaranteed otherwise, and refunds will generally not be given. Your coach will provide a code needed to complete signup.

Team formation for this season ends October 15th, 2019. Registration will remain open for confirmed team members. Note that the competition season runs only Dec - Feb.

FRC Robotics (High School, sponsored by PIE3)2019/20

You must have a Participation Code to Register

The FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) Team in Carroll County is FRC Team 2199 the Robo-Lions. Now in their 14th year, the team is open to any high school student with an interest in robotics, programming, marketing, public relations, social media, creative problem-solving, engineering, design and many other areas. This team is active year-round, with the main season January-April. Training and team building begins in the fall. No experience is necessary.

SIGNUP FOR THIS TEAM IS RECOMMENDED AFTER VISITING WITH THE TEAM AT LEAST ONCE. You will then be provided with a code needed to complete signup. Meeting location is 2025 Suffolk Road, Suite 1A, Finksburg, MD. Contact the team at 2199robolions@gmail.com for the date and time of the next meeting.

Team formation for this season ends January 15th, 2020.

FLL Junior Robotics (Grades K-3, sponsored by... 2019/20

FIRST LEGO League Junior is open to students who are 6-9 years old by January. Teams of up to six children explore a scientific concept, then build a model and code it to make it move using LEGO® Education WeDo 2.0. They also develop a Show Me Poster to illustrate their journey of discovery.

Hall Rental - Freedom Optimist Building 2019

In order to rent the the Freedom Hall please email optimisthall@gmail.com and you will receive a participation code so that you can register and pay.

Fees are:
Upstairs (Capacity - 60): $50.00/hour plus $275.00

Downstairs (Capacity - 225):
$600.00 - 4 hours
$650.00 - 5 hours
$700.00 - 6 hours
$750.00 - 7 hours
$800.00 - 8 hours



With this registration I agree that I will abide by all rules, regulations and terms set forth below for the Rental of the Freedom Optimist Hall (upstairs & downstairs) for the date and times listed on my registration.
IMPORTANT: You must email (optimisthall@gmail.com) a copy of a Certificate of Insurance for General Liability in the amount of $500,000 naming the Optimist Club of Freedom District as “additionally insured” which can be secured from either a business or homeowner’s insurance provider once registration is complete. If this form is not received within 20 days of registration – this registration will be cancelled.

CANCELLATION: ½ of rental fee is Non-Refundable
BUILDING SECURITY: Upon completion of event and inspection credit card payers will be issued $200.00 refund back to your credit card from your rental fee within 30 days after your event date

Freedom Area Basketball - 2019/2020


The mission of the Freedom Area Basketball League (FABL) is to provide instruction and recreation in the game of basketball. In addition to skills development, sportsmanship and the enjoyment of participation will be emphasized. We offer an Intramural program, as well as select Travel Teams for more competitive play. We welcome all grades K-12.

Travel Players:
All travel teams are not yet determined, and tryouts will be held in September. For Boys Travel please register on our Boys Travel Link All other Travel Players must register through the REC program.
Once Travel Teams are selected, those players will be moved to their grade associated travel team.

Online registration will be open from August 1 through November 01, 2019.

Freedom Area Ringers 2019/20 Community Handbe...

The Freedom Area Ringers English Handbell choirs consist of two groups for students grade 4 through adults. Rehearsals are held weekly at Faith Lutheran Church, 1700 St. Andrews Way (next to CCPL). Fees include a performance shirt and all other materials needed for the class.

Sessions this year will be as follows:
Full year class: September 5, 2019 - May 28, 2019 (34 classes) Registration fee: $75.00
Fall Session: September 5, 2019 - December 19, 2019 Registration fee: $45.00
(14 classes - no rehearsal 10/31 or 11/28)
Winter/Spring Session: January 9, 2020 - May 28, 2020 Registration fee: $60.00
(20 classes - no rehearsal 4/9/2020)

Freedom Campanelle (Level 1 & 2 music) No bell or music experience necessary. Grade 4 - Adult, Thurs. 6-7 PM.

Learn the basic mechanics of ringing, reading music notation, and teamwork moving toward performance of several pieces of music.

Freedom Forté (Level 2+ and 3) Two years of bell experience or strong music background. Grade 4-Adult, Thurs. 7:15-8:15PM

Build on basic knowledge of bell music / note reading to practice and perform music with expression and musicality.

Freedom Firebirds Travel Softball 2019-20

Welcome to the Freedom Firebirds registration page.

Congratulations on making a Firebird team this season.

As you register you will be required to enter a participation code. You can contact your team manager for this code if you have not already received it.

You will also be asked to select a team -- select the team your child will be playing for this season.

If you are a volunteer you need to also register as a volunteer.

You must have tried out for a Freedom Firebird Team and have been selected to play on that team in order to register.

We have sessions throughout the year. Days vary by session

Each session will have:

*Skills Day (you will get an email with your assigned time the week before Skills Day)

*Team practices-(Time slots will be emailed after skills day)

*Multiple weeks of league play - time frame listed on divisions

Please be advised that if you are paying for registration by check prior to first day of the session- your registration will be deleted if payment has not been received.

Refund Policy: Twenty dollars of the tuition in non refundable. Refunds on remaining balances may be requested in writing no later then 14 days prior to the beginning of each session.






Freedom Rec Softball Spring 2020

Welcome to Freedom Rec Softball Registration 2020
Girls Rec. Softball Divisions are as follows:
Pre/K-Kindergarten (must turn age 5 by Sept. 1, 2020)
1-2 grade (Coach/Machine Pitch)
3-5 grade (Kid & Machine Pitch)
6-8 grade(Kid Pitch)(if your 5th grader wants to play up they can register in this age group)
9-12 grade(Kid Pitch) - may involve travel to alternate field locations - all players wait listed pending registration size
Emphasis is placed on fun and instruction. Divisions may change depending on registration.
Registration from November 15 - January 31, 2020
Cost: : $80.00
Late Registration from February 1 - March 15
Cost: : $90.00
Registration is not considered complete and players will not be assigned to a team until payment is received.
Refund Policy:There is a $20.00 non-refundable administrative fee on all registrations.

Practice begins in March 15 for Grades 1-12.

We will be holding free pitching instruction clinics in January & February 2020 for Grades 3-5 and 6-8 Divisions. All pitchers or potential pitchers are encouraged to attend. We will have indoor pitching practice session from January through March. Times and exact dates to be determined. We will also hold an indoor catching clinic, and some outdoor fielding hitting and clinics. Additional information to follow.
If you wish to be a Team Manager, Assistant Coach, Team Parent or Volunteer in any other way you MUST register online. Please note - all Team Managers & Assistant Coaches will also be required to additionally register for background check with the county. See our website for additional info.

FSC Travel Soccer Club (U8 - U19) — 2019/2020 Season
• Tryouts are held in May/June. For tryout information and to register for tryouts please visit: www.freedomsoccerclub.org
• You must have tried out for FSC and have been selected to play on a FSC team to register here.
• If selected for a FSC team, Players must register and pay within 3 days from time offer is made to join a team.

Arnis Tae Kwon-Do

Develop confidence, self defense, discipline, courtesy and self-control through the Korean martial art of Tae Kwon-Do. Classes are coed, 10 weeks long, and offered year-round. Classes are held at the Linton Springs Elem. Community Room, 375 Ronsdale Road, Eldersburg for the following age groups.

Have won numerous Regional and State
Dance Twirl Teams Title over the past 25 years
Here is what we did in 2019

Freedom Fire Stars Dance Twirl Teams place 2nd at the National Baton Twirling Association national Championship. Placing 2nd in the Junior Beginner Twirling Team division.
All the girls placed in the top ten of their individual events.
Kasey Roger's winning 1st place in her national Intermediate open solo.

Come and be apart of a champion baton twirling team! Freedom Fire Stars Dance Twirl Teams are under the direction of Judi Marlatt, a registered National Baton Twirling Association Coach and Judge. Currently accepting new twirling members ages 4 and up. Classes held at Piney Ride Elementary School gym.

Beginner classes
When: Tues. beginning Sept. 17 , 6:30-7:30PM.

Where: Piney Ridge Elementary

Cost: $350/year plus $25.00 baton fee. Payment plan available.

Advance Dance Twirl Team
When: Thurs. beginning Sept. 19, 6:30-8PM (Piney Ridge Elementary) and Sat., Time TBD

Cost: $400/year plus $25 baton fee.
